In Auckland mache ich dann nur noch Tagestouren und werde haupts\u00e4chlich versuchen zu kiten.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Und wie es sich f\u00fcr die letzte Etappe geh\u00f6rt, spielt mir der Wettergott einen Streich und l\u00e4sst so richtig fieses Aprilwetter auffahren. <!--more-->Es geht schon in <a title=\"Paihia\" href=\"http:\/\/www.paihia.co.nz\/\" target=\"_blank\">Paihia<\/a> mit Regen los. Ich starte also direkt in Regenklamotten. Nach 5 Minuten dann Sonnenschein, aber bedrohlich aussehen Wolkenmonster umzingeln mich von allen Seiten. Deswegen und weil ich es hasse die Regensachen an\/auszuziehen, entschliesse ich mich daf\u00fcr sie an zu lassen. Gute Idee. Auf den gut 400km hat es zwar nur auf ca. 20km geregnet, die hatten es dann aber in sich. Man kann sich das in etwas so vorstellen, wie wenn ein Bad \u00fcber einem ausgeleert wird. Ich kannte das ja schon von Coromandel. Von furztrocken bis komplett durchweicht in wenigen Sekunden. So ein Regenkombi ist da schon wirklich hilfreich. Leider n\u00f6tigen einen die nassenteilweise moosigen Stra\u00dfen im <a title=\"Waipoua Forest\" href=\"http:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Waipoua_Forest\" target=\"_blank\">Waipoua Forest <\/a>zu sehr vorsichtiger Fahrweise. Zumal mein Hinterreifen Profiltechnisch mit einem Millimeter Stollen eh schon wieder am Ende ist. So fahre ich da gem\u00fctlich durch den Urwald und das regnerische Wetter passt eigentlich hervorragend zu der umgebenden Landschaft. Der <a title=\"Tane Mahuta\" href=\"http:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/T%C4%81ne_Mahuta\" target=\"_blank\">Tane Mahuta<\/a>, Neuseelands \u00e4lteter und gr\u00f6\u00dfter Kauri Baum ist an die 2000 Jahre alt. Genau kann man das wohl nicht sagen. Ein sehr beeindruckendes Lebewesen, neben dessen 13m\u00a0Stammumfang man sich sehr klein vorkommt. Man hab ich da geschwitzt. Die Atmungsaktive Regenhose werde ich in D auf jeden Fall um eine Jacke des gleichen Herstellers erweitern. Sehr multikulturell, viele Shop, Bars und Restaurants und auch das Quartier macht einen ordentlichen Eindruck.
